Summary:
To mount print plates for the presses within the correct specifications.
Essential Job Functions &
Responsibilities:
Check for the right plates for the job.
Following the printing docket.
Mounting the plates to cylinders or sleeves Completion of all necessary paper work that goes with the job Assist Press Department with plate repairs on Press Keep with Press schedules Must comply with all Company-wide SOP's Meet daily goals set by Supervisor.
Qualifications:
Basic Printing knowledge Basic math skills Good organizational skills Communicate well with others Basic reading and writing skills, (must be legible) Process written information, (dockets, orders, SOP'S, etc.
) Other knowledge, skills and abilities:
Ability to work well in a team environment.
Must demonstrate the ability to maintain confidentiality of information to Company and Federal standards.
Must be able to adapt to changes in the work environment, manage competing demands and be able to deal with frequent change, delays or unexpected events.
Must be dependable and work within Company conduct standards; consistently at work and on time, follows instructions, responds to management direction, and solicits feedback to improve performance.
Physical Demands:
Mostly standing.
Lifting and moving of printing sleeves printing cylinders.
Pushing and pulling of sleeve carts and cylinder carts.
Carrying of printing plate boxes up and down stairs.
Some stairs for reaching printing sleeves in the holding racks.
Back movement- constantly, continuous motion.
Twisting slightly.
Carrying-frequent, Regular motion with pause.
Working Conditions:
Ability to work with and around solvents and solvent based inks Ability to work in a non-air conditioned environment:
hot conditions during summer months and cool conditions during winter months.
(consistently) Must be available for overtime due to vacation coverage Follow all safety regulations and rules at all times, including wearing all required personal protective equipment (PPE):
Steel tip boots or shoes Hearing protection Safety glasses Cut resistant gloves Hairnets and beard nets.
Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
