We have continued to improve the data center infrastructure implementation process over the last 30 years.
We are looking to add a Power Systems Engineer, with at least three years professional full-time integrated electrical controls work experience (intern and research work do not qualify as full-time work experience). This Engineer will work with other Engineers, the DVL Sales Engineers, Program Management, Contractors/Engineers, Equipment Manufacturers and with the end user customer. It includes being responsible for the whole Engineering project from conception to completion.
WHAT YOU WOULD BE DOING
Running an integrated electrical controls project from start-to-finish including the following major tasks:
Working with the Sales Engineer to help define & budget a desired project.
Upon closing of the project, honing the budget costs to actual projected costs.
Developing submittal drawings as required for the project.
Working & coordinating with outside switchgear vendors (General Electric, Square D, DVM, etc.) as required.
Providing schematics for the exact design of the controls, basically all wiring on the secondarys of the PTs, CPTs, PTs, breaker secondary contacts, relays, generator control devices, power supplies, PLCs, networking & communications, annunciation, control switches, etc.
Set up & write the PLC control & redundancy logic, HMI graphics and pages as required to accomplish the desired operations.
Become familiar with and apply & program Woodward Generator control devices. Interface to the PLC as required.
Become familiar with and apply & program SEL, GE, Schneider or Basler protective relay devices. Interface to the PLC as required.
Oversee the construction of the system.
Write the specific sequence of operations, factory & field test scripts.
Participate in site & construction coordination meetings as required.
Run the factory witness test.
Field check, test, startup, commissioning, and training as required.
Ongoing service as required.
Assist in closing documentation requirements.
Perform start up, maintenance & troubleshooting of ATSs and other electrical control systems as required.
Set up protective relaying systems as required to achieve desired Generator parallel operations or Utility/generator parallel operations.
Works in a safe manner. Follows SAS/DVL safety policies, OSHA standard safety practices, and customer site safety requirements. Provides supervision to ensure that when working at customer locations; safety procedures and practices are understood by our personnel and sub-contractors and are followed.
Correctly completes and submits required SAS time sheets and expense reports in a timely manner.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS TO APPLY
Three to five years professional full-time integrated electrical controls work experience (intern and research work do not qualify as full-time work experience) relating to the responsibilities of the job is required.
Experience working with a major Switchgear Manufacturer or Assembler, Controls Shop, Generator Dealer or Distributor, PLC or Controls Manufacturer or Control Systems provider is highly preferred.
BS degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or an Engineering related degree like Electrical Power Engineering preferred but not required
AutoCAD and/or Promise E experience preferred for preparation of electrical single lines, schematics, elevations, floor plans, various control systems, mechanical piping systems, etc.
A general understanding of Electrical generation, distribution, conditioning & control systems as well as the control devices commonly utilized with them
Understanding of and experience with the National Electric Code
Knowledge of NFPA 70E & OSHA electrical safety regulations
A solid command of the Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, Project, PowerPoint, etc.).
A general understanding of the Construction Design-Bid Build & Design-Build processes
Experience with General Electric and/or Allen Bradley PLC systems and their software
Experience with SCADA systems application & deployment
Experience with Woodward Control devices is preferred
Experience with SEL, GE, Schneider, Basler protection & Control products is preferred
Must be a U.S. Citizen or National of the U.S., an alien lawfully admitted for permanent residence, or an alien authorized to work in the U.S.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
