Vehicle Description LRA Auto Sales and Museum is proud to offer this early 1923 Ford Model T Runabout.
National Senior First Place Award Winner in 1998, This example is an early 23 model, produced before a late model refresh during the same year.
Model Ts were powered by a 20hp 4-cyl engine that could run on gas, kerosine, or ethanol.
A three speed planetary gear transmission allowed for easy shifts, with two forward gears and one reverse.
The Model T was the car that normalized many automotive features we barely think about today, like left-side steering, removable cylinder heads, and cast, one-piece crankcase and block.
It was a car introduced in 1908 as a cheap and reliable alternative to hand made cars of the late 1800s, and was an immediate success.
Of over 15M produced, around 50,000 Ts still on the road today, so parts are plentiful and widely available.
